A CLEVEDON artist has set up a studio in her back garden after spending a successful eight years based at Clevedon Craft Centre.

Gail Clarke has created the custom-built facility at her home in Coleridge Vale Road South where she hopes to still hold one-to-one workshops to pass on her skills to others.

Gail caught the art bug at the age of 40 after making friends with an artist in Hertfordshire. Since then her work has flourished, creating pieces using acrylics and mixed media as well as digital art.

Gail, who also works part-time as a dental hygienist, said: “Having reached the grand old age of 58, I am still excited and inspired by energy, colour and humour and by my passion for improving as an artist.”
