Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) is holding its popular Santas on the Run event on December 8, when people can dress up in festive outfits and take on a 2km around Bristol Harbourside.

Thousands of people donned Santa suits last year to support the cause, and fundraisers took along dogs dressed for the season and turned their prams into sleighs for the day.

Participants are encouraged to raise as much money as they can for CHSW, to support children with life-limiting conditions.

The charity is hoping to raise £45,000 from the run, which will help support 220 children and families who use Charlton Farm.

Supporters who sign up before October 14 can get 25 per cent off the normal ticket price, which is £16 for adults and £8 for children.
