Fund-raising boost for Brandon Trust
MORE than 350 new donors have signed up to support a North Somerset charity.
The Brandon Trust, which helps people with learning difficulties to live independently, is hoping to raise 400,000 to pay for new equipment and activities.
During a recent door-to-door campaign, more than 350 donors signed up to regularly support the charity.
Chief executive Lucy Hurst-Brown stressed that people had been exceptionally generous despite the difficult economic times.
She said: “They have pledged an average of 8.50 per month which, with tax relief, will generate around 40,000 a year to help people with learning disabilities to live the lives they choose.”
