A GROUP of Nailsea friends raised more than 1,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust during a race night event.
The seven couples, who all met through antenatal classes many years ago, put on the event at Grove Sports Centre in May.
One of the families has two children with cystic fibrosis and so the trust is a cause close to all their hearts.
One of the organisers, Ceri Petrie, said: “The evening was a great success and we raised a grand total of 1,047, which included a generous donation from Lloyds bank.”
