People can learn more about the world around them courtesy of a trail which has been set up at Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve.
The ecological site, nestled between Portbury and Portishead, is a haven for wildlife.
And a nature trail is being created for one week to showcase some of its many wonders which otherwise can go unnoticed.
The Friends of Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve have teamed up with North Somerset Council to create the event, which will run from today (Saturday) to September 1.
A spokesman for the friends group said: "There will be 35 trail boards around Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve for people to find.
"It is a 'what do I eat?' and 'what eats me?' trail, featuring species that live or visit the reserve - anything from birds and animals to insects and plants."
A map of the reserve can be picked up at Portishead Library, in Harbour Road.
