Women were able to pick up advice on a range of topics at a health event in Nailsea.

The free women's health event was organised by Tyntesfield Medical Group's Patient Participation Group (PPG) to advise people on how to stay fit and healthy.

GPs, dieticians and a physiotherapist spoke at the function, which took place at Nailsea School.

Topics covered during the night included screening, mental and physical health, cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility and healthy eating and diets.

Tyntesfield Medical Group has held free health events since the four North Somerset practices merged in 2016.

The group has hosted two mental health events and a men's health day so far.

Future plans include an event to enable people to find out more about Alzheimer's Disease and dementia and advice for parents with young children.

Tyntesfield Medical Group supports patients in Nailsea, Backwell and Long Ashton.
