Police launching new reward scheme and sports taster sessions at Millennium Park, Nailsea.

Youngsters in Nailsea can have a go at touch rugby at Millennium Park this Friday.

Members of Nailsea and Backwell Rugby Club are running sporting sessions with the support of Nailsea beat team from 7-9pm.

Taster sessions in a variety of sports and activities are being held in the park, off Brockway, every Friday evening throughout the summer to try to prevent antisocial behaviour.

Police officers will also be marking bikes for free and giving out a small number of bike helmets.

The Nailsea officers will also be giving out their reward cards and youngsters can earn stamps by carrying out jobs in the community or taking their parents along to the Friday activities, giving them the chance to win prizes.

On August 24, Priority Football will run taster sessions in the park.

Teenagers can also play cage football or challenge officers to an Xbox game.
