Macmillan to offer free cancer support advice
PUBLISHED: 11:00 02 September 2018
Free advice and support on how to cope with cancer will be issued next week.
Macmillan Cancer Support will have teams in Clevedon and Weston to answer questions.
The mobile service travels around so people can gain information about the illness they suffer with, or access advice on caring for somebody with cancer.
Elaine Perry, an information and support specialist for the charity, said: “It’s really important people living with cancer are able to access the financial advice and support they are entitled to, so they can focus on what’s most important – their health.
“We can help signpost people to Macmillan benefits advisers who can provide free, confidential advice.
“We’re here to answer any questions about cancer.”
The Macmillan team will be in Clevedon’s Queen Square on Tuesday from 9am-4pm. It will then move on to Weston High Street on Wednesday and September 6, with its stand open from 9am-5pm.
