A TV and news presenter will meet visitors at the grand opening of a retirement centre in Nailsea next week.

People are welcome to go along to Bucklands Retirement Living, in Stock Way South, on Tuesday to meet Fred Dinenage who will be chatting to members of the public from 11am-1pm.

Fred, who is best-known as news anchor on ITV Meridian, will give a talk at 11am on his successful television career, before refreshments are served in the homeowners' lounge.

He said: "I'm very much looking forward to visiting Bucklands and spending time with the residents of Nailsea.

"I will be taking a tour of the new McCarthy and Stone development, and I hope local people will join me at the grand opening as it is set to be a great day."

Bucklands Retirement Living comprises of a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and gives retirees the opportunity to maintain an independent lifestyle.
