YOUNG footballers who helped shoppers for a day were rewarded with some generous donations.
Members of the Portishead Town under 14 team packed bags at the checkouts at The Co-operative store in Wyndham Way to raise money toward a team tour to Woolacombe in North Devon later this year.
Organisers said they had hoped to raise �200-300 from the bag packing but were overwhelmed when the total reached �750.
