A CHALLENGE aimed at encouraging people to grow their own fruit and vegetables or shop locally has been taking place in Pill.
Sustainable Pill and District (SPAD) organised the Food Week challenge, which was launched by former Bristol City player Scott Murray at the community market in the precinct.
Yesterday (Tues) an event was also held at St Katherine’s School in Ham Green where diners were invited to eat locally-sourced food.
Tomorrow (Thurs) there will be a free food talk and cooking demonstration at 7.30pm at the Baptist church in Myrtle Place and on Saturday there will be a free food festival with fun and games from 2-4pm at the community centre in Church Place.
