Flourishing gardens sought

PUBLISHED: 12:00 23 February 2015

ANYONE keen to show off their horticultural talents is being invited to take part in Portishead’s Open Gardens event in June.

Organised by Portishead in Bloom, it is the main fundraiser for the voluntary group which works year round to ensure the town looks its best.

To be held on June 6-7, gardens are open to the public from 10.30am-5pm on both days. Many of the gardeners offer refreshments and also sell plants that have been donated to help fundraise.

This will be the 13th year Portishead residents have opened their gardens to the public, with the event expected to be well-supported once again this year.

Anyone wishing to take part, or has plants to donate to sell in the gardens, should call Sandy Tebbutt on 01275 843566 or email sandytebbutt@hotmail.com
