n FLOWERS of all different colours adorned a church at the weekend.
St Michael’s Church in Clapton-in-Gordano played host to the Clapton Festival of Flowers.
The event raised money for supported housing project Andrew House in Clevedon, charity BRACE, which looks into illnesses affecting the elderly, and Christian Aid Nets For Life, which gives treated mosquito nets to African families.
The church was filled with beautiful floral displays over the weekend and there was also a musical concert by Pill Community Choir, Miscellany and Pill Whalers Saturday night, as well as a Songs Of Praise-style service Sunday afternoon, featuring the Benefice Gospel Choir.
