A flood warning is in place along Clevedon’s seafront tonight.

The Environment Agency says strong winds and low pressure is likely to cause tides to be higher than forecast at around 7.45pm this evening (Wednesday) with high water levels also expected tomorrow morning at around 8am.

Flooding is also expected in Pill at the same times due to high water levels on the River Avon.

There is also a flood alert in place at Portishead and Portbury Docks until tomorrow morning, also due to possible high tides.

Wave heights could reach more than eight metres at all of these places.
