Railway passengers will face disruption as works begin in Flax Bourton to carry out maintenance work.

The Network Rail project which will last seven weeks will see the removal and replacement of a section of the track that runs through Flax Bourton railway tunnel.

They will start the repairs at midnight on Saturday until 5.30am on Monday, October 5 at 11pm until October 7 at 5.30am and the last stage on October 12 at 11pm until October 14 at 5.30am.

Replacement buses will replace the train services between Weston, Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads on Sunday, October 6 and October 13, affecting passengers who would use Yatton or Nailsea & Backwell stations.
