Fire crews were called to tackle a blaze in a Portishead flat yesterday (Wednesday).
At 10.52pm, two fire engines from Portishead were called to a first-floor flat in Lower Down Road.
Crews used breathing apparatus and a high-pressure water jet to extinguish the fire.
A 28-year-old suffered from smoke inhalation but did not go to hospital.
It is believed the fire started accidentally.
