Five-year tax precept freeze continues

PUBLISHED: 15:05 11 February 2017

People in Wrington will not face a rise in their council tax precept during the next financial year.

Wrington Parish Council has voted to keep its precept – the money it collects from council tax payments – fixed at £76.37 per year for a band D property.

The announcement means the precept has not changed for the past five years.

However, people in Wrington will still see their tax requirements rise, assuming North Somerset Council continues with plans to hike its own bills.
