Five things to do in North Somerset this weekend

A hattrick of flower shows are taking place across the region this weekend, but if you fancy something different then do not worry as there is plenty for you to enjoy.
- A community group will host a day of exciting family activities.
Long Ashton Cinema will host a spoonful of craft activity morning on Saturday at the venue, in Keedwell Hill, at 10am, followed by a screening of Mary Poppins Returns on the same day from 6-8pm.

- Green-fingered villagers will showcase the fruits of their labour on Saturday.
The 72nd Tickenham Flower Show will be held from 12.30-4.30pm at the village hall and field, in Clevedon Road. Children's activities will include a rollercoaster and science tent, while young growers classes will also take place.
Entry is £3.50, with accompanied children, and also patrons, free of charge.
- Impressive floral displays will be showcased in Portishead.
Redcliffe Bay Horticultural Society will host its annual flower show at Redcliffe Bay Hall, in Newhaven Road, on Saturday from 2-4pm. Entry costs £1.
- The third flower show in North Somerset this weekend will take place in Barrow Gurney.
The village's flower show will be held at the village hall, in Barrow Street, on Saturday afternoon at 2.45pm. The show will celebrate village life, and cooking, wine-making and hand craft entries will also be judged at the event. A village barbecue will then take place on Sunday at the village hall at 1pm.

- A family drama will be screened at a Clevedon cinema on Sunday.
We The Animals will be shown at the Curzon, in Old Church Road, at 7.30pm.
