Fitness workout for charity

DEDICATED fitness fans raised more than 800 for charity by taking part in a three-hour fitness workout in Nailsea.

Husband and wife fitness instructors Trish and Ron Davies organised the pink workout at Scotch Horn Leisure Centre to raise funds to mark breast cancer awareness month.

The couple said: “We are so pleased we raised so much money for Breast Cancer Care. It was great to see more than 50 fitness enthusiasts coming along to take part in step aerobics, zumba and pilates sessions and we also received donations from a large number of people who could not attend.

“After the workout most people had coffee and pink cakes to round off the day. We wish to thank all who supported the event including Scotch Horn Leisure Centre.”
