Fishermen told to clean up mess
PEOPLE fishing off Battery Point in Portishead are being urged to clean up after themselves.
Discarded fishing line is posing a threat to wildlife according to local councillors who have picked up bundles of the hazardous nylon line, left on rocks at the seafront.
Fishing hooks and line are notorious for the causing injuries to both pets and wildlife according to vets who are often called on to treat the casualties.
