Firefighters put out car fire in Portishead

A car was engulfed by fire in Portishead late last night (Friday).

Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called to Woodhill Road, Portishead, at 10.30pm following reports of a Mini Clubman well alight.

A fire service spokesman said: “The car was 50 per cent damaged by fire.

“Crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. The cause is still unknown.”
