A van was on fire outside a supermarket in Clevedon today (Tuesday).

Avon Fire and Rescue Service a were called out after reports of a van on fire at Tesco, in Kenn Road, at 12.36pm.

The crews found one vehicle on fire outside the store.

Two firefighters wearing BA kits used two high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "The owner of the vehicle was in attendance and the store was unaffected.

"The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental."
