FIREFIGHTERS were called to a home in Tickenham last night (Thurs) after a report of a chimney fire.
One engine from Nailsea arrived at Well House, Tickenham Farm, at around 9.30pm
Firefighters used chimney rods to extinguish the fire quickly.
A spokesman from Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: “We would like to remind home owners with chimneys to ensure they are swept regularly to remove soot and other debris which can build up and cause fires.”
