RAINBOWS from Nailsea enjoyed learning about where their food comes from during a special visit to Tesco.

Nailsea 2nd Rainbows were invited into the store in Stock Way North for a farm to fork trail.

Staff told the children where different food comes from, where it grows, how it is transported, stored and prepared and then ends up on their plates.

The children enjoyed a tour of the bakery, tucked into some cheese and bread samples and did a grocery shop. They were given the task of hunting for yoghurt and fruit for a dessert.

The trails are free to schools, preschools and children’s groups. Tesco is also running a sunflower competition to give children the chance to win gardening equipment for their school.
