The family of a cyclist who died in a collision on the A369 have paid tribute to their ‘wonderful son, brother and uncle’.

Simon Gregory, aged 43 and of Bristol, died after his bicycle was involved in a collision with a Ford Fiesta at around 9.30pm on September 4 in Easton-in-Gordano.

His family said: "No words can express how devastated we are by the loss of Simon, a wonderful son, brother and uncle.

"His death has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, he was loving and caring, never having a bad word to say about anyone and a true friend to everyone who knew him.

"We are struggling to cope at this sad time and we would ask kindly that our privacy is respected while we come to terms with our loss."

Avon and Somerset Constabulary launched an appeal for witnesses after the crash.

Its spokesman said: "If you saw any part of this collision, or have any information which could help us, please call the collision investigation unit on 101 and give the call-handler the reference number CI/121/19."
