Scotch Horn Leisure Centre in Nailsea and Backwell Leisure Centre, both operated by Parkwood Community Leisure, will throw open their doors to visitors from 10am-4pm to showcase the facilities and activities they could be enjoying. There will be the chance to sample group fitness classes, use the machines at Scotch Horn’s gym, take a dip in Backwell’s pool or relax in the sauna and steam room.

For little ones there will be fun sessions as well as assessments in the pool at Backwell plus dance displays, taster sessions, arts, crafts, inflatable fun and soft play.

To help visitors make the most of the day, Parkwood Community Leisure is also offering a Café Vitta meal deal for just £15 for a family of four.

There will also be exclusive offers to encourage visitors to take that next healthy step with reduced-rate memberships plus discounts when registering for programmes including sway dance lessons as well as parties.

While promoting the facilities it has on offer, Parkwood Community Leisure is also using its open days as a chance to raise money for Together for Short Lives. Donations will be collected throughout the events to go toward the charity’s work supporting children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.

Among its facilities Scotch Horn Leisure Centre features a 70-station gym, squash courts, spin studio, fitness studio, four-court sports hall and soft play area.

At Backwell Leisure Centre, visitors can take advantage of a 25m pool, a 12.5m learner pool, health suite and squash courts.
