Families spent the day at Jacklands Fishing Lakes, where children were given the chance to have a go at a variety of rural activities.

Volunteers gave youngsters tips on course and fly fishing and children were able to cook up their catches on an open fire.

Archery and air rifle shooting kept younsters entertained as they learnt to shoot targets.

Visitors were also able to try out the catapults and take part in bushcraft activities.

The taster days are sponsored by Really Wild Adventures, The Ole Hedge Creeper and JP Angling from Bristol.

Organisers would like to thank Jacklands Fishing Lakes for hosting the sessions.

The next Pass It On Young Sports taster day will take place on September 1 at the fishing lakes from 10am-4pm.
