BACKWELL Fairtrade Caf, which has just celebrated its fourth birthday, will be serving up its ethically sourced goods on January 14.
As well as selling Fairtrade products, the caf has a club where members can buy the food at discount prices, a swap stall and an eco-friendly washing up liquid refill stall.
Trustee Ian Chambers said: “From its small beginnings in 2007, the cafe has grown rapidly and has now spread into the whole of Backwell Parish Hall.
“The Ecover refill stall has only been running for three years but in that time, a total of 1400 plastic bottles have been refilled, which has made a real difference to the amount of plastic we dispose of in the village.”
The cafe is held on the second Saturday of each month from 10.15am-12.15pm with everyone welcome.
