A village amateur drama group will perform their latest production next month.

Failand Drama Circle will perform A Bunch Of Amateurs from May 16-18 at the village hall, in Ox House Lane, at 7.30pm.

The show was written by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman and will be directed by Felicity Peries.

Keen to boost his flagging career, fading Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steele arrives in England to play King Lear in Stratford.

But, unfortunately, nothing has prepared him for the shocks which lie ahead.

As acting worlds collide and Jefferson’s career implodes, he discovers some truths about himself, along with his inner Lear.

The drama circle have been putting on productions for more than 50 years and won two Somerset Fellowship of Drama gongs in 2017.
