A serious lorry fire in Portishead occurred overnight.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service was called to Old Mill Road shortly after midnight today (Saturday).
People nearby heard an ‘explosion’ and emergency services remain on the scene.
The fire service has not yet released details of what happened, but reports suggest it was a lorry carrying hay which caught alight, with a nearby car transporter also being damaged.
No details of how the fire begun have been released either.
