A Clevedon School student has won a bricklaying competition, beating competitors from across the South West.

Ellie Herring, who was the only girl in the competition, beat 38 other entrants to win the Guild of Bricklayers’ competition for year 10 students, held in Barnstaple, North Devon, and received a shield engraved with her name.
