MORE than £130 was raised by welly-throwing children in Backwell.

All pupils at the village junior school took part in the fun competition to see who could throw a welly the furthest on Friday.

Proceeds will be divided between Children’s Hospice South West, which runs Charlton Farm in Wraxall, and the Dog’s Trust charity.
