A WAR museum was set up by creative pupils at Clevedon School.

The year nine students set up the display of art, English and history work in time for Armistice Day when members of the town’s Royal British Legion branch, Bob Blackwell and Ian Mottram, paid them a visit.

The work on display included symbolic pieces of art, war poetry, personal writing and a selection of replica artefacts.

Head of English Amy Smart said: “While the museum focuses predominantly on World War One and Two, students have also discussed the theme of conflict in today’s society and considered differences between the battles then and now.”
