Wallace and Gromit enveil school mosaic
A PERMANENT reminder of a Long Ashton school’s 150 years in the community was unveiled by some special guests.
Wallace and Gromit, accompanied by Shaun the Sheep, characters created by Bristol-based Aardman Animations, dropped in to help pupils at Northleaze Primary School reveal some stunning artwork of their own.
Three mosaics linked to the school’s history have been designed by the children, who then helped position the glass tiles in place.
The project was co-ordinated by headteacher Steve Davis and Sarah Cole of Sarah Round Mosaics based in the village, with the support of parents.
Mr Davis said: “All the pupils and staff, as well as some parents, attended the ceremony.
