CHINESE students paid a visit to the school to learn about life in North Somerset.
A total of 46 students and six teachers from Jianlan Middle School in Hanghzou attended drama, photomedia and PE lessons with Backwell pupils from years eight to 10.
The students then taught year seven students some Mandarin as part of their global day and also visited West Leigh Infant School and Backwell Junior School where they helped the children to write their names in Mandarin.
The students also spent a night at the homes of Backwell pupils to give them a chance to find out about English family life.
