A mock Viking invasion has taken place at Crockerne Primary School in Pill.
Year five and six pupils at the school, in Westward Drive, learned all about the Scandinavian raiders and the way they lived their lives during a workshop put on by Portals to the Past.
Youngsters got to dress up in costumes from the period and take part in a variety of activities covering all aspects of Viking life to help them with their topic on the subject.
A spokesman for the school said: “It covered a wide spectrum of Viking life and times, from home life to navigation, gods to battles and having Viking fun.
“Portals to the Past’s Viking workshop really brings this fascinating period of history to life.”
