BUDDING sports stars from a Backwell school clocked up 10 gold medals at the Independent Schools Association regional athletics event.
Thirty-six children from years four-six at Fairfield School took part in a variety of sports including shot, high jump, long jump, sprint and 600m.
Nine pupils won their event, securing 10 first places throughout the day, and they will now go on to represent the South West area team in the national finals in Birmingham.
