Traditional playground games have been enjoyed at a Portishead primary school this month.

Trinity Primary School welcomed skipping coach Lizzie Cox to showcase activities with a slight modern twist.

A school spokesman said: “She ran skipping workshops for the Healthy Schools Community Group and children from Key Stage Two (KS2) were taught various skipping techniques such as crossovers, backward skipping, double Dutch etc.

“We also had a whole school traditional games launch to coincide with the skipping workshops.

“Various games such as What’s The Time Mr Wolf? and hopscotch were demonstrated and led by our KS2 Crew Buddies to encourage the children to improve their imaginative play at lunchtimes.

“Our Crew Buddies will continue to run a variety of traditional games every lunchtime for the whole school to enjoy.”
