A TOPPING-OUT ceremony was held at St Katherine’s School in Pill to mark a milestone in the building of a new facility at the site.

A �2.8million catering and hospitality wing is being created at the Ham Green school, providing a state-of-the-art kitchen, dining room, training room, training kitchen and a restaurant called The Leaf at Ham Green that will be open to the public.

On October 4, school staff, students, members of the construction team and North Somerset Council representatives took part in the topping-out.

During the ceremony, salt, oil, corn and wine were mixed with mortar to wish the building well.
