CHILDREN in Nailsea and Portishead learned all about the world of newspapers during visits from two Times reporters.
Tracey Fowler went along to St Peter’s Primary School in Portishead as part of the school’s community week, which saw budding reporters in year four create their own stories for a project on community news.
They surveyed residents to find out what stories they liked to read and interviewed Tracey to discover how reporters operate.
At Golden Valley Primary School, children in year four had plenty of questions about newspapers when Samantha Pope paid them a visit. They learnt about how newspapers are put together and where stories are found.
