A Tickenham school dog has been nursed back to fitness by caring pupils.
Gatsby, Tickenham Primary School’s mascot, had to have a claw removed after suffering an accident.
But the four-month-old mini dachshund is back to bounding through the countryside with full mobility thanks to the love given to him by the children.
Co-headteacher Tristan Merriam said: “Gatsby is getting so much love and attention from all the pupils.
“He is such a popular school dog so the injury was a real worry.
“Pupils, staff and even his old dog friend Colin have been helping him return to normal.”
