A FORMER English teacher has won a national award for his education blog.
David Didau, who writes online giving advice and opinions on a huge range of education topics, has been selected as the winner in the education category as part of the inaugural National UK Blog Awards.
David worked as a teacher for 15 years, including at Clevedon School, before deciding to quit the profession last year and work full-time providing teacher training, speaking at conferences and writing books.
The 42-year-old of Highdale Road, Clevedon, began writing his blog, called The Learning Spy, in 2011 and since then it has continued to grow and is now viewed between 15,000-20,000 times per week.
The father-of-two will also soon release his second book, entitled The Secret of Literacy – Making the implicit, explicit.
