SOME of the best pupils at St Katherine’s School were rewarded with a fine-dining experience in recognition of their work.

Selected from the hardest working students, 24 youngsters from years seven to nine were invited to join the headteacher, Stephanie Quayle, in the Pill school’s new restaurant, The Leaf at Ham Green, for the Best of the Best luncheon celebration.

The restaurant is part of a 2.8m facility that opened at the school in January and a two-course meal was served by chef manager, Paul Mingo West, and year 10 students studying for a hospitality diploma.

The pupils enjoying the meal were those who had received the highest number of Praise Points in their year groups.

Stephanie Quayle said: “This is a milestone event for us as these hard working young people are the first ever students to dine in our brand new restaurant.”
