FOUR boys from Portishead’s High Down Junior School took part for the first time in the Avon Schools Table Tennis Tournament in Batheaston.
The year five pupils, Zac, Finlay, Harry and Billy, played against teams from three other schools all of whom had members who play for table tennis clubs. With one round to go, the High Down team was in first place but was pushed into second after its final match against a team representing Avon as a whole.
