Youngsters at a primary school in Clevedon have been learning all about Tanzania.
Each year group at Mary Elton Primary School in Holland Road spent a week working on a different aspect of the African country, including year two pupils who found out about Zanzibar and created their very own island complete with animals, spices and a mosque.
To celebrate the children’s work, two teacher’s from Mary Elton’s Tanzanian partner school, Kikoboga, visited while three Mary Elton teachers travelled to visit the school in Mikumi at the weekend.
Before the staff left, an assembly was held to allow the children to say goodbye and wish them luck.
