Youngsters from Yatton Junior School are learning about nature thanks to a new specialist environmentally-friendly area in the middle of their playground.
Children planted shrubs and plants to attract insects, and are also designing a mural to placed there at a later date.
They were helped by a team of 27 volunteers from Lloyds Banking Group and members of local wildlife group YACWAG.
The volunteers built fences around the area and painted the wall at the bottom of the playground. Businesses Wickes, Somerlap Forest Products and Loaders also provided resources for the project.
Headteacher Jo Keeble said: “We are very grateful to the parents who work for Lloyds Banking Group who helped organise the day. It is wonderful and they did a super job.”
