INVESTIGATING crime scenes and rocket making inspired youngsters at Backwell School’s summer scheme.
The summer school was put on for children aged 11-12 who will be attending the secondary school in September. The 75 future pupils who attended enjoyed sports, making giant bubbles, Lego and magic tricks.
Younger children could also take part in a rock school, pottery, cooking, outdoor adventure activities and cycling safety course.
Organisers Kathy Patterson and Marie Davis, from Backwell School, said: “We are really pleased with how the week went which was enjoyed by all the students. We would like to thank all the workshop and activity tutors and summer school assistants who put so much effort into making the week a success.”
