STREET dancing, trips to the zoo, sports and crafts are just some of the activities youngsters have been enjoying in Nailsea.

Nailsea Summer Playscheme is held during the first two weeks of the summer holidays for youngsters in reception year up to year seven and is run by a group of nine mums on a voluntary basis.

The not-for-profit group has been running for more than 20 years, thanks to a grant from Nailsea Town Council, but organisers are concerned there will not be enough money available to run the club next year and they are appealing for more youngsters to support the project.

Staff can take up to 100 children on the scheme each day and as long as they have the numbers they believe they will be able to keep the club open.
