A CAR wash, a quiz night and a Christmas fair helped dedicated pupils to raise more than £900 for the Za Foundation.
Ellen Exley, Beth Davies, Nikita Phippen, Joe Magner, Eddie Watkins, Nina Sundstrom and Lauren Windsor from Backwell School’s sixth form decided to raise money for the Portishead charity which supports orphans in South Africa.
The students sold refreshments during sports day, ran a Christmas fair stall, held collections at various events, organised a staff car wash and competed against teachers in a school quiz night, raising an impressive £962 in total.
