PEOPLE who lived through the war were invited to a Nailsea school to talk to the children about life during the conflict.
Year six pupils from Grove Junior School dressed as evacuees and performed songs from the era during their World War Two day.
Relatives and friends who lived through the war then chatted to the children about their memories and experiences.
Pupils studied newspapers and memorabilia from the time and learnt about ration books.
They also created models of air raid shelters, houses and gas masks.
